Policies

Open Access & Copyright

IJEER provides immediate open access to published content and currently charges neither submission nor publication fees.

License

Unless an article states otherwise, published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Readers may share and adapt the work for any purpose when appropriate credit, a license link, and an indication of changes are provided.

Author rights

Authors retain copyright and grant IJEER the right of first publication and the non-exclusive right to publish, identify itself as the original publisher, and preserve the version of record.

Policies

Peer Review

All suitable manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review designed to support scholarly quality, impartiality, confidentiality, and fair editorial decisions.

Review path

  1. Editorial screening: scope, originality, completeness, ethical requirements, and basic scholarly quality.
  2. External review: normally at least two independent reviewers assess suitable manuscripts.
  3. Decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, resubmit, or reject. The editor makes the final decision and may seek additional review.
  4. Revision and verification: authors respond point by point; revised work may return to reviewers.
  5. Final checks: authorship, disclosures, formatting, and publication files are verified before publication.

Editors and reviewers must declare competing interests. A submission authored by an editor is handled independently, without that editor’s access to the decision process.

Policies

Publication Ethics

IJEER follows principles of responsible scholarly publishing and considers concerns fairly, confidentially, and with appropriate opportunity to respond.

Authorship and originality

Listed authors must have made substantial contributions, approved the submitted version, and accepted accountability for the work. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabricated or falsified data, citation manipulation, and undisclosed conflicts are prohibited. Submissions may be screened for text similarity.

Human and animal research

Research involving people, identifiable data, or animals must report appropriate ethics approval, consent, and safeguards, or explain why approval was not required.

Competing interests, funding, and data

Authors must disclose financial and non-financial competing interests, funding and sponsor roles, and data availability. Editors and reviewers must recuse themselves when impartial assessment is not possible.

Artificial intelligence

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors must disclose substantive AI assistance and remain responsible for accuracy, originality, citations, confidentiality, and interpretation. Reviewers and editors must not upload confidential manuscripts to external AI systems.

Corrections, retractions, and concerns

Material errors may be addressed through a correction, expression of concern, or retraction. Decisions are based on the reliability of the scholarly record rather than punishment. Concerns should be sent to editor@ijeer.org.

Complaints and appeals

Authors may submit a reasoned appeal identifying a procedural or factual error. A person not responsible for the original decision will review the appeal where practicable. Complaints about process, conduct, or conflicts are acknowledged and examined separately from the manuscript’s academic merits.
